2018 Volvo XC40 is Inspired By and Designed For City Living

In recent years, the Frankfurt Motor Show has been home to some pretty impressive Volvo debuts. It’s where we got our first look at the brand’s new styling in 2013 in the form of the Concept Coupe. In a few short days, it’s also where we’ll meet the latest all-new utility—the 2018 XC40.

The first new model to ride on the Compact Modular Architecture, the XC40’s mission is more urban-oriented than its bigger siblings. Designer Thomas Ingenlath says its design is meant to compliment city living with a vibrant, fashion-forward philosophy, while offering the latest in luxury tech. This includes a City Safety system to mitigate and avoid low speed collisions, along with the semi-autonomous Pilot Assist system. You can get a glimpse of the new car, and some of these systems in the video above.

There’s no substitute for a vehicle that has your back, and the XC40 promises an exquisite sanctuary. To learn about availability and options, contact our Volvo dealership in Columbia, SC as it’s convenient.
