Key Features and Specifications
Drivetrain and Performance: The Blazer EV RS is available in three different drivetrain configurations, a unique offering in the EV market.
Range and Battery:
The RS trim, particularly the RWD version, offers a competitive range, with a GM-estimated 324 miles on a full charge. The AWD version has an EPA-estimated range of 279 miles.
The Blazer EV is built on GM's Ultium platform and uses a large 102 kWh battery pack.
Charging:
The Blazer EV RS supports DC fast charging at up to 190 kW, which can add approximately 78 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
It also features an 11.5 kW Level 2 AC charging capability for home charging.
Exterior: The RS trim gets a sporty visual upgrade with features like a black-painted grille, lower fascia with "flow-through rocker molding," and larger 21-inch wheels. It also includes an illuminated front LED light bar and an animated "Bow Tie" badge.
Interior and Technology:
The cabin is dominated by a massive 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 11-inch digital instrument cluster.
The infotainment system uses "Google built-in" technology, which integrates Google Maps and Google Assistant. A notable omission is the lack of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
The RS trim includes heated and ventilated front seats, a heated flat-bottom steering wheel, and ambient interior lighting. The seating material is a synthetic leather called Evotex, often with perforated suede accents and red contrast stitching.
Safety: The Blazer EV RS comes standard with the full suite of Chevrolet Safety Assist features, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Forward Collision Alert. It also has a standard Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
Cargo Space: The cargo space is decent for the segment, with 25.5 cubic feet behind the second row and a maximum of 59.1 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. There is no front trunk ("frunk")
