The 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara is a popular and well-equipped trim level of the iconic off-road SUV. As a four-door "Unlimited" model, it offers more practicality and space than the traditional two-door Wrangler.
Key Features and Specifications
Engine Options: The 2019 Sahara Unlimited came with two available engines:
Standard: A 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, producing 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It was available with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Optional: A 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine with eTorque (a mild-hybrid system). This engine delivered 270 horsepower and a higher torque of 295 lb-ft, and was paired exclusively with the eight-speed automatic transmission.
Drivetrain: The Sahara trim comes standard with Jeep's Command-Trac part-time 4x4 system. It also offered an optional Selec-Trac full-time 4x4 system, which allows the driver to use four-wheel drive on pavement.
Exterior Features: The Sahara is distinguished by body-colored fender flares and 18-inch polished aluminum wheels. It also came with fog lamps, power-heated exterior mirrors, and a black three-piece hard top.
Interior and Technology: The Sahara trim adds a more premium feel with features like a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power windows and locks, and a 7.0-inch or optional 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system. This system includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Off-Road Capability: While the Rubicon is the most extreme off-road model, the Sahara is still very capable. It includes skid plates, a part-time 4x4 system, and solid axles.
